Poka-Yoke Assembly Nest
Sequential part staging and operator support for the four-station portfolio demonstration fixture.
Purpose
Use the numbered fixture stations as the physical sequence.
This fixture demonstrates a manufacturing-support workflow that organizes components in a defined sequence, improves part visibility, and gives an operator a clear place to stage each item before assembly. The numbered stations correspond to the markings on the printed fixture.

Before you begin
- Place the fixture on a clean, stable work surface with the station numbers facing you.
- Confirm all pockets and hardware wells are free of debris.
- Use the finger-relief areas to remove components; do not pry parts out with tools.
- Parts should seat with light hand pressure. If a component does not seat, stop and verify orientation instead of forcing it.
Assembly-staging sequence
Load Stations 1 through 4 in order.
Hammond RL6205BK enclosure
Place the enclosure into the large Station 1 pocket with the lid and four screw heads facing upward. Align the long axis with the pocket and lower it straight down.
Stainless bracket / mending plate
Place the bracket flat into Station 2. Use the finger relief for removal. The validated pocket uses the final R3.5 corner geometry and lead-in.
Keyed insert / locator part
Place the keyed insert into the shaped Station 3 pocket. Match the unique profile before pressing down.
M3 screws + washers
Stage four M3 screws in the upper row of hardware wells and four washers in the lower row. Keep one screw and one washer as a matched hardware set.

Completion check
- All four station areas are populated correctly and each component is seated without force.
- The enclosure, bracket, and keyed insert are oriented as shown by their pocket geometry.
- Hardware count is complete: four M3 screws and four washers.
- No loose hardware remains outside the designated staging wells.
Reset for the next build
Return the fixture to a clean start condition.
Remove the staged components, clear the pockets, confirm no hardware is left behind, and return the fixture to its clean start condition. The underside adhesive pads are intended to help keep the fixture stable during normal bench use.
